Collected Stories

This exercise involved groups of 3 that were asked to look at some random pictures, and craft a story together as a team. They could discuss the plot with their partners, but each one would have to write a distinct introduction, a leading middle paragraph and a conclusive end.
This is what the children conjured:

GROUP 1: AARUSHI; ASFIYAH & TANIA

MY LIFE STORY: BY AARUSHI; ASFIYAH & TANIA

Beginning - Aarushi:
I was a little girl with my mother to singlehandedly take care of me. My father used to work in the other part of the world making candles.

Middle - Asfiyah:
I used to often call him up and enquire about his health. He was a tall, handsome man with specs. He had dark black hair and freckles. My father missed me and I missed him. My mother and I used to go to the sea face to watch for a signal because there wasn't one.

Conclusion - Tania:
My father's business was going down and so the company decided to sell illegal artifacts online. The police found out and investigated and sent the company to jail.
I wasn't too happy about my father though I  didn't want to but I knew I had to because that was the way of my life and I knew it. But that was my destiny.

GROUP 2: NIYOMI; REET & URJA

THE CIRCLE OF LIFE: BY NIYOMI; REET & URJA

Beginning - Niyomi:
We are all bound in a circle - circle of life. It's moving and we can't get out of it. I myself have a different experience of life. I was born in a poor family. Our family got a handful of rice but had to share it with 5 members. My friends, my brother and I would steal vegetables and fruits from trees and eat them to fill our stomach. As time passed and I grew up, I learn't the lessons of life.

Middle - Reet:
I started earning more and shifted to a bustling city. I got away from nature and got a spa parlour. I am now the owner of the best spa in the city. Thanks to my brother, I realised once more that I was not the little hard working girl anymore. I had forgot the importance of hard-work.

Conclusion - Urja:
I started connecting to nature. I closed my spa and instead joined the forest department. I used my money not to waste in a spa. But to guard animals and here I am writing the circle of life.

GROUP 3: SHAILVI; NEEHARIKA & AKSHHAK

A HELPING HAND: BY SHAILVI; NEEHARIKA & AKSHHAK

Beginning - Shailvi:
The was a big disaster in a city in which a jungle got blown up. Many people got injured and some died in which an elephant was badly wounded.

Middle - Neeharika:
There was an animal hospital near the sea and the doctors could sense animal feelings. A shark who was a friend of the elephant swam quickly to the shore where the doctors were standing. They understood that the shark was calling them and swam with him.

Conclusion - Akshhak:
The doctor saw the injured elephant bleeding and wining. It was in pain. The doctors tried their best and saved it. The elephant thanked the shark for a helping hand. That's how the elephant got saved.

GROUP 4: AADYAN; SHIV & ARYAN

STORY: BY AADYAN; SHIV & ARYAN

There is a man in the infantry, he betrays his country and that's why the other people get fiercely angry on him.

The Work:

The boy who achieved more and did something more – Urja

As we all also have our own ambition this boy who was just 7 years old wanted to become a piolet and was taking inspiration from his guru.  He wanted to achieve something   in his life. He had a problem that he could not stand still. But he had the confidence that he could achieve it. So the whole day he was running and practicing. He always would like to eat in a restaurant. So he would fall sick and he was always hungry. His mother would always be happy with him. As he would go and of course his mother would send lovely painted pictures for him. This boy was not at all restless. He would be practicing, all  his problem were gone. He would not even fall sick. Now  his days started coming off and loneliness and he was feeling lonely. But  suddenly he remembered he had to achieve his goal. He was growing up. He started getting more friends. He could not become a piolet. But now he opened his own factory of making planes. He earned more and did something even more than achieving his goal. This was his best moment in life.

The Work:

A ROMANTIC DAY By Tania P
It was a valentine season, food of love was cooked evry second. I could say, a love scent in the air. Couples going out for dates. Girls prowdly kissed their boyfriends at a sea face. Couples were spread out not involving others in their romance. All the boyfriends making their girlfriend comfortable. Make-up, was in town girls walked in parlours for make-up. One place called undirty café no love at all it was serious Pain for workers it was lonely Arms for valentine bunnys. I think it was not a dull day after all.
Couples feeding each other chocolate bars posters all around. Girls wearing juicy colours. And I cooked the last pair of beans my sister completed the story to me.

IMAGE INSPIRATION:

The line of girls -  a chocolate bar and make up.

The dog – about the romance.

The Girls clothes and food was about plates of food.

The end about the crusher and beans.

A Heavyly Dull day – Tania P
Unacompaneed legs eating stress by hard work. Hurting their backs and legs. It was a dull day by working. The unacompaneed legs were told to carry two Heavy sacks. It weighed 28 kgs. He felt sad. But he had a funny feeling about the food he was eating but suddenly it was smooth like silk. Then the unacompaneed legs got rooted to the ground. And turned Round.

INCREDIBLE INDIA !!! – TANIA P.

India is hardworking but funny at times. People are rooted to cricket on the T.V. it is stress on your legs to play it. Unacompanied on a stadium is not good. I call my flag a smooth – eater. I almost forgot to day is independence day. My legs want to march a lot. Oh, stand straight it’s the national anthem.
